The second series of Ghost Squirrel images goes back to before they came to North Carolina. Their first appearances in the New World were in New England (perhaps journeying as stowaways on the Mayflower) and the islands of the Caribbean. (The paintings of Winslow Homer supplied the inspiration for this series.)
